Andrew Benito Economist at a leading US hedge fund, based in London. Previously, Managing Director and Head of European Macro Research at a multi-strategy hedge fund (5 years), Managing Director at Goldman Sachs (8 years) and Senior Economist at Bank of England (12 years). The latter period included secondments to the International Monetary Fund during the Global Financial Crisis and to the Banco de España) during the introduction of the Euro. I was also a Research Fellow at the University of Warwick. I hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick.

My work has been cited extensively by policy-makers and the media and been published in academic journals. I am also a Research Fellow at IZA, Institute of Labor Economics.
